Heading out to go see this real deal modern day war story tomorrow. If the trailer is any indication of the intensity in this film then I’m ready for the journey. If its any good I’ll let you know.

And the Verdict is…. INSANE… This movie is an intense insight into the battle going on in one of the most bullet riddled outposts in a grimey valley in Afghanistan. The film was shot so well throughout all the chaos it was hard to believe it was a documentary most of the time. I doubt Restrepo will get big theatre rotations due to the real deal violence and nature of the film, but I’d highly recommend seeking it out in a indy spot/ find it online somewhere, you crafty bastards.

The image above is taken from the Duck Tales comic that Christopher Nolan is said to have used to create the film Inception. After reading this comic is hard to imagine Nolan not coming across it to spark the idea at some point but all great ideas usually come from somewhere, it all depends on how you execute. Inception was entertaining as shit to me so it doesn’t matter how it came about, but click to image above and make your own comparisons.
